New product for the treatment
of diarrhea
Natur's Way is proud to announce Scour-aid,
an all natural dry product that can be either top-dressed, mixed into feed, water or milk. It contains bentonite, a finely ground clay that traps
water, toxins, viruses, bacteria, radiation, heavy metals, and other small particles. It
does this by actually pulling them into its porous body and keeping them there
even after it has left the animal body. Unlike pectin, which is another
ingredient in Scour-aid, it isn't broken down by microorganisms and is inert to
the animal body.
Scour-aid works in all ages and controls
diarrhea no matter whether it is viral, bacterial, or protozoan in origin. It
should be used in conjunction with MSE paste or drench. Like pectin,
bentonite is a quick fix. It does not necessarily address the original problem,
which is often rumen disruption caused by stress. Together with MSE, Scour-aid can stop the
loss of valuable electrolytes and allow re-establishment of indigenous microflora.
Also like pectin, bentonite can only work while it
is in the body. It has no residual effects. Feeding it more often promotes
constant diarrhea control.
Scour-aid can be used externally when mixed
with water to make a thick paste on cuts and abscesses.
Recommendations:
Scour-aid is available in a 7 lb. jug for
$24.50 and a 12 oz. shaker for $12 at naturs-way.com.
