Scour-aid has been reformulated

The diatomaceous earth in the original formulation of Scour-aid has been replaced by the electrolytes sodium bicarbonate, calcium carbonate, and sodium chloride. Although diatomaceous earth, or DE, is safe and effective for controlling parasites in alpacas and manure piles, electrolytes are a more logical choice for the addition to a product meant to control diarrhea. Please be aware that Scour-aid is not an electrolyte pack and does not contain all electrolytes.

Scour-aid can be purchased at naturs-way.com in both a 7 lb. jug and a 12 oz. shaker. It does not contain any microorganisms and does not need to be refrigerated. Scour-aid should be used with MSE paste or drench for long-term diarrhea control.
