What Is MSE?

MSE (Multiple Stabilized Enzymes) is a natural feed additive designed to increase the digestibility of your ration in all classes of livestock. MSE contains enzymes, bacteria, yeasts, and other fungal cultures. MSE is produced in stainless steel equipment with rigid production standards through Natur's Way's strict time and temperature processes.

What Are Enzymes?

Enzymes are protein catalysts that aid in biochemical reactions that occur in a digestive tract. Enzymes occur naturally and are produced in a digestive tract and by microorganisms to aid in the digestive process. Cheese making, brewing, livestock feeding and phases of the drug and petroleum industries have depended on the use of enzymes for over 100 years.

What are enzymes and fungi?

Enzymes are protein catalysts that aid in biochemical reactions that occur in a digestive tract. This means digestive reactions can occur more easily in the presence of the correct enzyme. Enzymes are non-living molecules but can be easily destroyed by heat or adverse conditions including sunlight, chemicals, strong acidity, etc.... Enzymes occur naturally and are produced by bacteria, fungi and animals.

Yeasts are a type of fungi. Fungi are protists that commonly grow as mycelia (a mass of filamentous interlacing branches). Fungi are present in the rumen as a fiber digester and can produce numerous types of enzymes, B-vitamins and may produce unknown growth factors.

What Does MSE Do?

The MSE enzymes attack starches, proteins and cellulose fibers breaking them down into digestible factors. A lot of protein and natural vitamins, minerals and amino acids are locked up in the hard cell roughage. Enzymes, acting as a catalyst and through the process of fermentation, release most of these minerals, vitamins and amino acids contained in the hard fibers and will allow your animals to use them as nutrients instead of wasting them in excreta. Studies have proven that animals fed excreta can gain as well or better than animals without excreta in their diets. This shows that many nutrients are now being wasted in the digestive process. By utilizing these nutrients the first time through the animal, large costs and much feed can be saved, and feed is the highest single cost of meat production. In addition to enzymes, MSE contains numerous strains of microorganisms (commonly known as probiotics or DFM's) to enhance the fermentation and microbial activity of the gastrointestinal tract. These microorganisms aid in digestion and maximize the stability of the G.I. tract microflora. This is achieved via the breakdown of nutrients, consumation of toxic by-products of digestion, destruction of certain microbial infections and maintaining microbial concentrations during periods of stress. The result is increased performance and improved health of the G.I. tract and thus the animal.

Why Feed Enzymes?

There are many different types of feed additives on the market today. Why should you use enzymes instead of something else? Well, as you know, today's goal to survival in livestock production is to maximize efficiency. This can be done by improving genetics, management or feed efficiency. Since feed cost is the highest single cost of livestock production, this should be the first item to improve upon. This can be done via numerous different types of products, most of which are chemicals. With the public concern for health, and the FDA cracking down on unsafe feed additives, enzymes and DFM's spring up as the feed additives of choice. These products are natural and safe for livestock consumption, and can work as effectively as other methods, while increasing the animals health instead of jeopardizing it.

Why MSE?

There are hundreds of enzyme and probiotic-type (DFM) products on the market today. What advantages does MSE have over these other products? The main advantage of Natur's MSE is our experience. You will find no other company out there with more years of experience in enzymes for livestock than Natur's Way, Inc. The founder of Natur's Way discovered our foundation enzyme combination back in 1960 - including what we now term as a hybrid enzyme. Since then the product has undergone years of testing to reach the stable and effective product that we have today.

Another advantage is that MSE is not merely an enzyme feed additive. MSE contains more strains of bacteria, yeast and fungi than do most DFM's on the market today. Therefore, in addition to the enzymes in MSE, you also get the probiotic benefits.

Are All Enzymes Beneficial?

Basically yes, just as all animals have their place to balance nature. Man has, for centuries, used selection and cross-breeding to improve the species of all domestic animals for specific purposes. We are now in the same process with enzymes. Natur's MSE has proved over and over its unequalled supremacy for producing enzymes to lower your cost of livestock production.

ARE MSE ENZYMES SAFE TO USE?

Yes! In over thirty-five years of testing and actual use, not one incidence of allergy or toxicity has shown up in humans or animals. Enzymes are present in, and essential to, any digestive system. Therefore MSE is completely compatible with any and all digestive systems. For complete digestion of up to 90% of feed intake, MSE enzymes must be used as an essential part of any ration. No single strain enzyme can achieve this percentage of metabolized energy.

When used as a positive addition in your present feeding program as directed will improve the digestibility of any feed.
